Please join Legal Aid Society of San Diego Tax and Unemployment Insurance Benefits (UIB) teams and the San Diego Law Library in our second procedural hybrid webinar in October called: “Filing to USTC and Appeal to CUIAB: Process & Results (2024)”. In this webinar, will discuss explain interesting details about:

  • Similarities and differences between filing a tax case to the United States Tax Court (USTC) & appealing to the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board (CUAIB).
  • Discussion of key facts and outcomes for a tax case at the USTC level, and appeal process with the CUIAB (Part 2).
  • 2024 UIB updates: EDD Payments and Disaster Unemployment Assistance, myEDD language expansion & fraud prevention, and myAppeal sign up and appeal timeframe.
