Computer stations will be available for use at the Bankruptcy Courthouse for applicants to zoom with our volunteers.  You can also zoom from your own device at home. 

Clinic is held every Wednesday (except major holidays) from 2-4pm.

Let us know if you would like in person or zoom from your own device.  An appointment day and time will be provided with a Zoom link.  In person at the Bankruptcy Courthouse is by appointment only.

ARE YOU AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19?

            The Covid-19 pandemic is a very fluid situation with changes happening every day.  If you are affected by the virus, you may be protected from evictions or foreclosures from the stimulus law recently passed.  If you would like more information, please fill out an intake form and submit it to Legal Aid.

 

STIMULUS CHECK

          If you have not filed your 2019 or 2018 income taxes, you may not receive a check.  You want to file them as soon as possible.  Contact 211 for resources. 

 

U.S. Southern District Bankruptcy Court News

            The Bankruptcy Court remains fully operational and will continue to take petition and other Court filings at the clerk’s windows. 

All Court hearings are held telephonically through each department’s specific phone number that can be found on their website.  Click here.

            All 341a meetings scheduled from March 12, 2020 – April 10, 2020 were notified their hearings are continued.  Future 341a meetings will be held telephonically, and the number will be sent in a notice to you.  Other issues with pro per filings are still being determined.
