Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Order Clinic Pro Bono volunteers assist participants in preparing documents necessary for the hearing. Eligible clients receive legal consultations and/or representation. Date: Sign up with the clerk on the 1st floor, room 155, at 8:15 a.m. Clinic operates Monday - Friday at 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Place: South County Courthouse, 500 Third Avenue, next to cafeteria, first floor, Chula Vista, CA 91911 Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Advocacy If you are on General Relief, advocates provide help with SSI applications and appeals at the Health & Human Services Agency offices listed below. Appointments are not necessary. Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Places:
Attorneys and paralegals, who are at the hearing site, assist those who arrive for their hearing, appealing State and County decisions regarding CalWORKS, food stamps, or health benefits. Date and Time: Every other Tuesday - Thursday. Show up one hour before your scheduled hearing for assistance. Ask for the Legal Aid Representative. Place: Health & Human Services Agency, Appeals Section Attorneys and advocates are available to address community groups on a variety of legal issues.
